Ambreen Qadri21 September 2024As a parent ,the most difficult thing is to make a right choice .My 16 year daughter started her strabismus around 10 years back and we saw many doctors regarding the treatment options but somehow the option for surgery got delayed. Dr.Waleed Abdallah’s name appeared in my search as one of Dubai’s best when I researched for surgery options.I visited Orbit Eye Center after taking the appointment .It was an easy process through WhatsApp .The clinic is located in healthcare City.It was a clean and welcoming place with friendly staff.My daughter was initially assessed by Dr.Nabila and she was skillful and friendly .Dr.Waleed was very adept and kind.He explained everything in detail . We decided to go for surgery and appointment was fixed .Saida was patient coordinator and helped us through the process .All our questions were answered patiently to be ready before surgery.The surgery went very well .It was a day surgery so after recovery time we came home.Dr.Waleed explained the process and after care in detail and we were given a care kit having medicines,protective googles and instructions to help her recover.We had one visit very next day and two more to follow after surgery. It was a right choice and we are happy about it.We did it without insurance and believe me ,they have good package with surgery,care and follow ups. Dr. Waleed Abdullah is an expert pediatric eye surgeon who.has done multiple eye surgeries for family members and we are following him since he used to visit Oman before more than 10 years. He has done surgeries for both my kids and I am extremely happy with his treatment and recommended many family members and friends. When other doctors turned me away and suggested I return to the first surgeon, Dr. Waild gave me hope and took on my case with confidence and care. He patiently explained why the first surgery had failed and clearly outlined what he would do to fix it. He took the time to listen carefully to all my questions and concerns, ensuring I felt comfortable and confident in the process. After the surgery, he recommended I start vision therapy at his center with Mrs. Nabeela to help me gain binocular vision, and I have been steadily improving ever since. Ms. Nabeela Sharif graduated in Optometry & Orthoptics from University of Health Sciences Lahore, Pakistan; an internationally recognized university. Later she did Master’s in Special Education with specializations in Visual Impairment and Mental Retardation. With her vast experience of 10 years, her areas of Expertise are Optometry, Orthoptics and Vision Therapy towards the Ocular Diagnostics, measurement and management of patients with Strabismus, rehabilitation of patients suffering from Binocular Vision problems as well as children with Learning Disabilities & Special Needs.
